
What is The Passionate Plate?
Passionate Plate is an innovative concept in meal preparation that eliminates menu
planning, shopping, prep-work and clean-up by moving the meal assembly process
out of people's kitchens and into specially equipped stores. The Passionate Plate
also has pick-up service, delicious Gourmet To Go meals and a Bistro and Wine Bar
where you can linger over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and sample some of
our delicious fare.
What is included in a meal?
Each meal is designed to provide 3 servings or 6 servings of our delicious
entrĂ©es, depending on your family’s needs.
How much does it cost?
The Passionate Plate's meals are priced per menu item. Feel free to pick up one or more items from our Gourmet to Go section. If you are taking part in a class, our minimum order is five meals. You're welcome to make up to 16 meals during your class.
Can I adjust the recipes during assembly?
Absolutely. You know your family best. At Passionate Plate, you have the control over
what goes into your family’s meals. Feel free to skip ingredients you know they won’t
like, add a bit extra of their favourites, and spice the meals to your taste.
How can I learn more about the nutritional content of each meal?
Nutritional information will be available with our meals shortly. In the meantime, our chefs will gladly discuss any questions you may have.
What do I need to bring to my session?
You will need to bring a large cooler or cardboard box to transport your meals home.
We will provide you with an apron and all the tools you'll need to assemble your meals.
I don’t have time to come to Passionate Plate to assemble my meals. Help!
We understand how busy life can get. That’s why we offer several options in our Gourmet to Go program including a Pick-up option where our friendly staff assemble your order for you. We also offer Pre-Assembled meals made fresh daily for you to select in-store and a special package made just for new moms. Learn more about our Stork Package.
How long can I store my meals in the refrigerator or freezer?
Our meals are vacuum packaged and can be kept in a refrigerator for 3-10 days,
depending on the ingredients (for example, chicken has a shorter fridge life than beef).
While most of your meals can be kept in a freezer comfortably for up to three months,
we recommend you serve frozen meals within 30 days of your session for optimal
taste and texture.
How do I register and pay?
Simply go to either the Menu or Calendar sections of our web site and we’ll guide
you step-by-step through the process to register, whether it’s a session in our kitchen
or a time to pick-up your pre-assembled meals. Our check out is secure and you are
welcome to pay with a major credit card online, or call us at 780.430.1122 to
register and pay by phone. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac and cash.
How do I book a private party?
Contact us directly to schedule a Studio Party for your group of 10 or more.
Once we’ve confirmed your date and time, you will then be able to send e-vites to
each of the attendees. Party guests can then register online and pre-order their

May I change my order once it has been placed?
Passionate Plate orders ingredients specifically for each guest's order prior to
their session. If your session is more than 5 days away, you may change your order
through our web site by accessing your account and selecting the order you wish to
change. Otherwise, please contact the store to make a change.
What if I need to reschedule my session?
Life happens and sometimes things come up unexpectedly. Because we place our
food orders for each customer prior to your session, we ask that you give us at least
3 days notice. If you aren’t able to give us at least 3 days notice, we can assemble
your meals for you to pick-up in our facility. Assembly has an additional charge,
as outlined above.
Does Passionate Plate offer gift cards?
Yes. Passionate Plate gift cards are available in any denomination online or in our

How do I redeem my gift card?
Gift cards are redeemable on our website at the time you place an order or
schedule a session. When entering your payment information, check the gift card
box and enter the unique identification number of your card as well as the
gift card value.
Is my gift card redeemable for cash?
Gift cards may not be redeemed for cash or used to obtain cash in any way,
except as required by applicable law.
What if the value of my card is different from the amount of my order?
Our payment system allows multiple forms of payment. If your gift card value is less
than your order, enter your gift card information and enter your credit card information.
Your order summary will reflect both forms of payment.
If your gift card value is more than your order, only the amount of your order will be
deducted from your gift card. The remaining value will be available for future orders.
